BESTMIX® Software is delighted to introduce to you our US sales and service team. Tami Smith, Brian Peterson, Colton Althaber, Lindsay Williams, Veronica Bridges, Michael Murphy, Hannah Stensrud, Al Nathoo and Grant Lehrdahl are excited to offer their knowledge, expertise, and experience to our US customers.

Tami Smith, Sr. Sales Manager

Tami's background in formulating feeds, balancing on farm rations, and working with feed mills and nutritionists in the dairy industry provide her with multiple areas of practical application for Adifo's software. Additionally, she had the unique experience of building the dairy genomics (testing) program while working for Neogen through their Geneseek platform. Contacts she has made during her career provide industry perspective as well as the potential to expand the Adifo network in North America. 

After her studies (master of science in Dairy nutrition at Washington State University, 2000), Tami took up various positions in research, feed formulation and dairy nutrition. Tami also serves on the Board of Directors for Dairy Girl Network, a national organization that serves all women in the dairy industry through personal and professional development. She is also currently part of the Executive Committee for the Dairy Girl National Conference and is serving as the Host Committee Lead.

With her husband Randy and their 2 children, Tami resides on their family dairy farm in Pennsylvania, where they milk 200 cows in partnership with Randy's brother.

 

In joining BESTMIX I can use my background in the feed industry to grow the North America business. My love of learning and building business focused on technology has found a home with BESTMIX. I look forward to continuing servicing our US customers and helping them improve their businesses.

Brian Peterson, Sr. Sales Manager

Brian’s background is 25 years of Sales and Marketing of Enterprise Software Technology selling solutions to some of America’s largest Fortune 1000 corporations and Mid-Markets organizations. Brian had a high concentration of success in the Food Industry, CPG and Automotive/Equipment manufacturing.   Brian contributed to the building and expansion of Sales operations and market growth in several leading technology organizations such as SAP and INFOR Global Solutions.

Brian also was instrumental in three (3) Foreign based and European Software companies’ expansion into the USA and North American market in his career. Brian has two (2) Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Management and Accounting from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. Brian has three (3) adult children and one Granddaughter. Hoping for many more.

Colton Althaber, Consultant

Colton Althaber, Consultant: Colton’s interest in ration formulation started at a young age, where he grew up on a cattle farm in Missouri. Watching and working with his family, he learned animal husbandry skills that lead him to purse the animal science in college. Colton received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Missouri in 2015. After completion of his degree, he attended the University of Arkansas for his master’s and Doctorate in Animal Science. While in graduate school, Colton worked at Tyson Foods Inc., as an intern in the Supply/Capacity planning team for prepared foods. During his time in university, he saw the increased presence that technology has in the field of animal science for not only monitoring animals’ behavior, but health and eating patterns as well. Seeing the increased use and need of technology in animal care, feed formulation technology was a perfect route to combine animal nutrition and technology.

Colton lives in the Saint Louis, Missouri area with his wife, son, 2 dogs, and a 3-legged cat. When not working, Colton is spending time with his family, fishing or hunting, woodworking or going back and helping on the family farm.

 

Working at BESTMIX, it allows me to work with real world examples of ration formulation and work with companies that are finding a more economical way of providing feed to animals, while still providing all the nutritional needs of those animals.

Lindsay Williams, US BESTMIX Consultant

Lindsay received her bachelor’s degree in Animal nutrition from Ohio State University.  After school she worked for a number of local grain and feed mills in the Southwest Ohio area.  She was previously employed with Cargill, Inc where she gained practical of feed formulation.  She has been working closely with large US producers on evaluating feeding systems, nutritional value of ingredients, cost savings scenarios, and feeding strategies to maximize production goals. 

 

I'm excited to have joined the BESTMIX team where I can use my knowledge to assist customers in best practices to maximize the potential of the BESTMIX software.  Team is a huge part of the culture of BESTMIX which I really enjoy.  I feel confident in pushing my knowledge in experience knowing there a team of individuals around me to lean on when needed.  I look forward to continuing my knowledge, developing leadership skills, while helping customers improve their business.

Veronica Bridges, Consultant

Veronica’s passion for data and computers can be traced back to her elementary school days where she spent her time after school at the car lot that her father managed.  While most kids were playing with toys, she was taking inventory of the cars on an old DOS computer. 

After high school, she went to the University of New Orleans for Electrical Engineering.  Hurricane Katrina completely shifted her course of study, and she ended up with a degree in Business Administration.  Her passion for data and process improvement triggered her to go  for a graduate degree program.  She went to Northwestern University for a Master of Sceince in Predictive Analytics. 

While in college, she began her career at an Entergy power plant as an Electrical Engineering Intern.  From there, she became the Engineering Coordinator at Marquette Transportation.Then she was invited to join as the Gulf Inland Division Lead for the ERP project.  After this project, Veronica worked 7 years at Westway, learning the agriculture/feed industry as well as gaining knowledge of AX 2012 and Milas, as BESTMIX (formerly known as Adifo) was the chosen partner for Westway. 

 

I truly enjoy working with others. Making the switch to ERP consultant was a natural next step, and BESTMIX Software was the clear choice. I hope to bring to our customers an enthusiasm to recognize their challenges and the expertise to improve their processes with our products.

Hannah Stensrud, Account Manager

Hannah grew up on a feedlot & cow calf operation in Southwest Iowa, and now currently resides in Southern Minnesota on a row crop farm. She received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2012 and went on to complete her master’s0 degree in Business Management. In 2018, Hannah joined the BESTMIX team as a BESTMIX® consultant based in the US.

As a consultant along with her practical farm knowledge and previous feed nutrition/sales experience; she helps aid and identify customer feed formulation/workflow gaps and pairs that with the BESTMIX® solutions. Currently, Hannah serves as the US Account Manager and Project manager on BESTMIX implementations in the US.

Michael Murphy, President BESTMIX® Software Inc

Michael is an accomplished Company Executive and has held a number of high-tech senior management positions over the past twenty five years.  Prior to joining BESTMIX, Michael has owned and operated multiple companies in the manufacturing and marketing industries.

Prior to owning his own company, Michael was the President of one of the largest printing companies in the country and was responsible for deploying technology across the production platform.  He was instrumental in developing technology and proprietary software solutions that dramatically improved the company’s financial performance.  Starting his career with a degree from RIT, Michael has served as VP, COO, President, and CEO. He has also filled numerous consulting roles and is a frequent lecturer and board member. 

 

I am delighted to be working with the BESTMIX team.  This is a world-class organization with extremely talented people.  The BESTMIX product family is the best in the industry.  It feels good being able to bring my passion for building businesses and helping our customers be successful.

Al Nathoo, Customer Service Consultant

Alkarim (Al) received his bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and has worked developing, testing & supporting various software applications.  He has worked for Salama Systems & then Brilliant Alternatives developing; maintaining & providing support for several Brill Feed Formulation ‘Add-On’ programs that provided additional functionality & custom solutions to their clients.   Additionally, Al was involved in Developing & supporting Brilliant Formulation Application.   Al came on board as Customer service consultant when Adifo Inc. had acquired Brilliant Alternatives in 2016. Al is living in Atlanta, Georgia & provides support for BESTMIX products & consults with the customers.

​​​​​​​Grant Lerdahl, Consultant

Grant is a Dynamics implementation consultant with experience in distribution, accounting, and manufacturing. Grant started his professional career as a consultant with AX2012 and has worked on Dynamics implementations and support since 2012. He studied business management with an emphasis on supply chain at Brigham Young University. Grant loves learning about clients processes and the creative process of modelling the clients’ needs in Dynamics. He also loves teaching and writing so he looks forward to training and documentation work. BESTMIX consulting is a great fit for Grant because of his passion for learning, teaching, and supply chain.

Married since 2010, Grant has three elementary school age children with whom he skis, hikes, ride bikes, does art and watches movies. His personal hobbies include lifting weights, classical guitar, gaming, and figure sculpture.

 

My favourite thing about consulting is the mix of creative and analytical skills required. I love the challenge of hearing how a client works, what their needs are, then finding a way for them to be successful. BESTMIX is exciting for me because of their focus on supply chain and manufacturing as well as the friendly professional environment.
