Terrena Ancenis - France
|
|
TERRENA is a cooperation for agricultural activities, headquartered in Ancenis (France). With an annual handling of 1.500.000 tons of raw materials, Terrena is one of the biggest players in the Midwest of France.
By upgrading to MILAS4 version 4.08, Terrena is able to implement the new method of cost price calculation. Results are more transparent from the end user’s point of view, giving detailed insight in how the cost price has been calculated.
This upgrade also gave Terrena the scaling possibilities to start up the subsidiary company Bellanné with MILAS4.

Regarding the upgrade to version 4.08, Afgri’s goal was twofold:
- Migrate the MILAS infrastructure entirely to Windows (Windows 2003 server as application server and MS SQL Server as database), hereby complying to the overall company’s strategy to standardize the IT infrastructure to Microsoft technology.
- Implement a new automated handling of inter-branch transactions, resulting in less manual labour of booking invoices in different departments and improve the cost handling of intercompany transports.

G. Van Landschoot & zonen Adegem - Belgium
|
|
Van Landschoot is a slaughterhouse in Adegem, close to ADIFO’s head quarters in Maldegem.
As one of the bigger pig slaughterhouses in the region (over 12000 pigs are processed per week), a lot of transactions are booked in the MILAS4 system. Under their previous SDE database, it was difficult to keep the performance under control. By upgrading to version 4.08 and migrating the database to MS SQL Server 2005, the performance has been boosted and the scalability is provided for the future growth of the company.
Thanks to the new free fields and Business Rules Manager at table level, Van Landschoot is now able to handle far more information regarding lot details.

Je Il Taejon – South Korea
|
|
As one of the biggest feed suppliers in the South Korean market, the volume of order transactions is very high. This results in up to 3.5 million stock movements per year.
By improving the integration with the accountancy software, more real-time information is made available on ongoing transactions. A a result Je Il achieved a better view of the current financial status. A performance boost was created in the whole sales logistic and financial flow.
By upgrading to MILAS4 version 4.08, Je Il is now able to implement its IT department strategy to move all databases to an Oracle 10g environment.

Smals Cuijk – The Netherlands

Smals has automated 3 areas of their business
- Automation of their logistics by means of MILAS4
- Automation of their logistics by means of LABORAS4
- Automation of their Financials by means of AccountView
Beside the mere replacement of the former automation solution, Smals has achieved the following:
- Change from Unix to Windows directly bringing clear benefits in system administration
- Use of standard tools such as Crystal Reports, Formscape and Java Web Interface
- More efficient way of working through improved and optimised workflows
- Improved reports and view interface
- Adjusting screens for workflows of individual users or user classes
- Smals is now able to adjust the use of MILAS4 / LABORAS4 to its own needs
- An interface to Excel is a clear benefit over the former automation
- The document management has been made easier.
- Management reports, formerly created by external specialized tools, are now directly generated from MILAS, LABORAS or AccountView.
In the future Smals expects a further optimization of the workflows by using MILAS4 / LABORAS4 and AccountView and further improved management reports both on screen and in print.

Cooperatie Arkervaart-Twente Nijkerk – The Netherlands

Cooperation Arkervaart-Twente u.a. is an animal feed producer, mainly active in the middle and the east of the Netherlands.
With the upgrade to MILAS 4.08, the ARMA functionality for the field workers has been entirely incorporated in MILAS. This improves the availability of information out of MILAS for the field workers, also when they are working from home.
Thanks to the implementation of MILAS 4.08 on the standard Windows platform, the integration with office is easier, as well as the link with ‘EDI-factuur’, which makes it possible to make data automatically available to the customers.

Delva Ieper - Belgium
|
|
The Delva group consists of:
- Delva NV: active in the livestock feed sector and grain and fertilizer trade
- Delva France SAS: active in France. Grain, fertilizer, phyto products and seed-corn trade
- D2000 (livestock feed factory in Roeselare),
- Deltran (transportation company)
- Del’or (manure processing).
Delva NV, Delva France SAS and D2000 use Milas 4.08. The servers are located in Ypres (Ieper) and all sites are linked with VPN.
Thanks to the upgrade to MILAS 4.08, the data management was greatly expanded; purchasing, contracts, price corrections.
A link with the Office applications was also made.
